The Kettlebell Works
Website Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies used on our website

Effective date  16th September 2026
Last reviewed 16 September 2026

This policy explains how The Kettlebell Works uses cookies and similar technologies on www.thekettlebellworks.com why we use them and the choices available to visitors. It should be read with our Privacy Notice at www.thekettlebellworks.com/cookie-policy

Before publication, the cookie register in section 7 must be completed from a current scan of the live website. Do not list assumed cookie names or durations. The website's consent banner and this policy must describe the same technologies and choices.

1  Who we are

The website is operated by “the Kettlebell Works Ltd” trading as "The Kettlebell Works", of Exeter, Devon UK. [COMPANIES HOUSE NUMBER: 17387437

For questions about this policy or our use of cookies, contact EVMART@BTINTERNET.COM or write to 128, High Street, Crediton, Devon EX17 3LQ.

2  What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on a computer, phone or other device. They allow a website to recognise a browser or device and may remember information about a visit, such as a session, preferences or previous actions.

This policy also covers similar technologies that store information on, or access information from, a device. These may include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, software development kits and comparable tools. In this policy, we refer to all of these as cookies unless the context requires otherwise.

Cookies may be session cookies, which normally expire when the browser closes, or persistent cookies, which remain for a stated period or until deleted. First party cookies are set by our website. Third party cookies are set by another organisation whose service appears on or supports our website.

3  The rules that apply

Our use of cookies is governed principally by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and, where personal data is involved, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We provide clear information about the technologies we use. We obtain consent before using cookies that require consent. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they are essential to provide a service requested by the visitor or to support an exempt technical purpose.

UK law also contains limited exceptions for statistical and appearance or functionality purposes. We will rely on an exception only where every legal condition is met, including giving clear information and, where required, a simple and free way to object. If the conditions are not met, we will ask for consent before using the cookie.

Advertising, retargeting, social-media tracking and cross-site or cross-device tracking cookies are not treated as essential and will not be activated before the visitor has consented.

5  How we ask for and manage choices

When a visitor first arrives, the cookie banner should provide clear choices to accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies or manage categories. Refusing optional cookies must be as straightforward as accepting them. Optional cookies must not be placed before the relevant choice is made.

A visitor may change or withdraw consent at any time by selecting the Cookie Settings link displayed in the website footer at www.thekettlebellworks.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before the choice was changed.

Where we rely on a statistical or appearance exception rather than consent, visitors may object free of charge through www.thekettlebellworks.com. We will stop the relevant storage or access after an objection, subject to the technical time reasonably needed to apply the setting.

We record cookie choices for 6 months.  We may ask again sooner if the website, our providers, the purposes or the law change materially. We do not interpret silence, continued browsing or a pre-ticked control as consent.

6  Third party services

Our website may use services supplied by other organisations. Depending on the live configuration and the visitor's choices, these may include:

·       Squarespace for website hosting, security, site functions and, if enabled, analytics;

·       Acuity Scheduling or another booking service for appointments and class bookings;

·       payment services used at checkout, such as Revolut Merchant Services.

·       PT Distinction or another coaching platform accessed through links or integrations;

·       video, map, font or social-media services used to display external content;

·       Meta or another advertising platform, but only if a marketing pixel or comparable tool is installed and the visitor consents.

·       A link to another website does not by itself mean that we place that website's cookies. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination provider's cookie and privacy information applies. Embedded content may allow its provider to receive information such as the visitor's IP address, device information, page viewed and interaction with the content.

We configure external services in the most privacy-protective way reasonably available. Where possible, embedded content is blocked until consent is given or the visitor actively requests it after receiving clear information.

7  Cookie register

This will be made available upon request. contact: The Kettlebell Works
Website Cookie Policy. The consent platform automatically maintains a complete live cookie list, apply directly to [https://www.thekettlebellworks.com/], it will be provided and remains accessible, accurate and easy to understand.

8  Browser and device controls

Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies. Browser controls are separate from our Cookie Settings tool and may affect all websites. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent checkout, booking, account or security functions from working correctly.

Deleting cookies may also remove a saved preference, meaning the website may ask for a cookie choice again. Instructions vary by browser and device and are normally available in the browser's help or privacy settings.

9  Personal data and international transfers

Some cookies collect or generate personal data, such as an online identifier, IP address, device information or browsing activity. Our Privacy Notice explains the purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention periods and individual rights that apply to personal data.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and safeguards as required by data protection law. Further information is available in our Privacy Notice or by contacting  evmart@btinternet.com

10  Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, providers, cookie purposes or legal obligations change. We will revise the last reviewed date and, where a change materially affects an existing choice, request a fresh choice where required.

11  Contact and complaints

Questions, objections or complaints about cookies should be sent to evmart@btinternet.com or 128, High Street, Crediton, Devon EX17 3LQ. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

A visitor may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Details are available at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
